About the role:
As a Shop Technician II, you will perform multiple assignments in support of machining, mechanical assembly, repair, refurbishment of equipment, components or tooling systems. You may also perform electrical, mechanical, and/or visual inspections. You will report to the Assistant Area Manager, Mechanical and will be based out of our Stanton, PA facility. This is an anchor position that is required on site 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to verify semi-complex dimensions with measuring instruments and/or analyze specifications and determine tooling by applying knowledge of metal properties, machining technique and mathematics
Comprehend advanced fundamentals of mechanical parts and equipment, and/or machine metal work pieces, tools or parts.
Set up and operate machine tools, surface grinders, lathes and milling machines.
Program, Set-Up and Operate CNC Machine Tools.
Design and fabricate fixtures for machining.
Maintain ANSI Level I Certification for Mechanical Testing and Inspection as applicable.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.
- Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining plus required mathematics.
- United States Department of Labor Journeyman Certification.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more. We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
