Education & Experience High school graduate or equivalent 1 to 3 years as a Machine Shop Apprentice or in Trades Training Primary Duties & Responsibilities Effectively performs emergency and unscheduled repairs and preventative maintenance tasks per policies and procedures Actively takes part in the Emergency Response Team (ERT), maintaining all required training and medical certifications and responds to incident and/or emergency situations Responsible for completing maintenance activities on schedule and within quality standards to limit equipment downtime Successfully performs maintenance related activities correlated to the installation of new equipment and process controls Accurately completes and communicates required documentation of work orders, status updates and service records Directs assigned projects including procurement, installation, renovations, and modifications per PSM compliance standards and within safe work practices Approaches all activities with a "safety first" attitude, keeping work, storage, and supply areas clean and organized Skills & Other Requirements Must be able to work with a wide variety of materials and tooling using band saws, horizontal saws, lathes, milling machines and a surface grinder Must be able to work with a variety of hand tools including, but not limited to, drills, saws, die grinders Must be customer service oriented Must possess good communication skills Must work interactively with other machinists and in a positive manner Must work a rotating
