Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our production team. In this role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain CNC machinery to produce high-precision parts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, and possesses hands-on expertise in quality inspection, tooling management, and making real-time offset adjustments.
Key Responsibilities Part Inspection & Quality Assurance:
Accurately measure finished components and in-process parts using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to verify conformance with technical blueprints and tight tolerances.
Process Optimization & Offsets:
Monitor machine performance throughout production runs, calculating and applying necessary tool/wear offsets and work coordinate adjustments to prevent defects.
Tooling Management:
Safely change worn or broken cutting tools, set up tool holders, manage tooling inventory at the workstation, and verify proper seating and offsets.
Multi-Machine Operation:
Efficiently run, load, and monitor multiple CNC machines simultaneously to meet cycle times and daily production quotas.
Preventative Maintenance:
Carry out daily routine maintenance tasks, including checking coolant levels, lubricating ways, clearing chips, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
2+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience within a high-volume or precision production manufacturing environment.
Multi-Tasking Ability:
Proven track record of safely and effectively running multiple CNC machines concurrently.
Blueprint Reading:
Strong capability to interpret technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and job routing sheets.
Measurement Skills:
Proficiency with standard inspection tools (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, vernier calipers).
Technical Communication:
Ability to clearly articulate machining adjustments, including standard offset procedures and wear compensation strategies.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational apprenticeship, technical certificate, or associate degree in precision machining is a plus.
