• Under general supervision, sets up and operates a limited number of standard machine tools. Works from prints using a variety of hand and precision measuring instruments; determines machine feed speeds to perform precision machining operations on a variety of components.
• Responsibilities
• + Aware of and consistently follows all shop safety protocols and regulations.

+ Perform raw stock order filling using horizontal and vertical band saws, abrasive cut-off machines, shears, and hand tools. + Competently and safely uses the hoists within the department. + Responsible for keeping cutting equipment operable by changing cut-off abrasive wheels, band saw blades, etc. + Perform deburring parts Buffer-Tumbler-Under-Scope-Bench work. + Performs less complete machine operations using a limited number of machine tools such as drill presses, lathes, power saws, shears, grinders, punch presses, honing machines, etc. + Change and/or sharpen cutting tool during operations with supervision. + Maintain tolerances using dial indicators, micrometers, pin gauges and other measuring equipment. + Perform duties in accordance with Facilities Workmanship Standards and Aid Manual. + Make simple setups with supervision. + Communicate any known operation process irregularities to supervisor. + Maintains work area and tools in a clean and orderly manner daily.

• Qualifications
• + High school diploma or equivalent + 2-4 years relevant experience + Demonstrated knowledge of basic math + Demonstrated gross and fine motor skills + Demonstrated knowledge of precision measuring tools + Demonstrated competence in basic math + Able to read/understand engineering drawings + Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
