Job Description

Responsibilities of the
General Machinist:
Build and repair tools, dies, fixtures, and components Set up and safely operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and band saws Perform preventative maintenance on toolroom equipment Read and interpret blueprints, design specifications, and part drawings Utilize measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, Go/No-go gauges, and indicators Assist Toolmakers with projects and tooling support as needed Qualifications of the
General Machinist:
Previous machining or toolroom experience required Experience operating manual machining equipment required Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings required Experience with surface grinders, lathes, mills, drill presses, and band saws preferred Must be able to lift up to 25lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally with assistance Associate's Degree, Technical School training, Journeyman's Certificate, or equivalent experience preferred
Pay & Schedule:
Pay based on experience Full-time schedule Overtime may be available based on production needs Min.
Pay Rate:
$20.00
Shift Hours:
7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday
