  • or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws.
May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Candidates must be able to:
  • Climb ladders and work at extreme heights.
  • Work in small, tight, or confined spaces.
  • Kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb on a daily basis
  • Lift heavy objects weighing 40 lbs. or more
  • Work while repeatedly reaching overhead
  • Work indoors or outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
  • Take and pass a respirator fit test
  • Work assigned shift as production needs Must Have High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience; Apprentice graduate/ Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 1 year of related experience.
May require certification. Nice to Have Prior Mechanical experience such as Automotive Repair, Plant Maintenance, Machinery Installation/Repair is a plus. Successful completion of a technical/vocational program in Machining, Diesel Technology, Automotive, HVAC, Mechanical.
