A SHIFT:
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Expected hours: No less than 40 hours per week
B SHIFT:
Tuesday through Thursday, 5:00 pm - 5:00 am (10% Shift differential) Expected hours: No less than 36 hours per week •Punctuality and attendance are key• Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and (for more experienced candidates) program CNC lathes and milling machines. This role supports precision manufacturing by producing high-quality parts to exact specifications while maintaining safety, efficiency, and cleanliness in the work environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines, including 3-axis mills and 2-axis lathes. Experience with 5-axis or live tooling is a plus. They will ensure parts are machined to tight tolerances, inspect finished components, and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and engineering drawings Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components (Advanced level) Create or modify CNC programs and optimize toolpaths Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools Ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately Maintain machines, tooling, and fixtures in good working condition Complete production and inspection documentation as required Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (Advanced level) Assist in training and mentoring less experienced machinists
Qualifications:
2-5+ years of CNC machining experience (level dependent) Proficiency in operating CNC mills and lathes; setup experience required Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Working knowledge of measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) (Advanced level) Experience with G-code programming and CNC controls (e.g., Haas, Fanuc) Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Knowledge of standard and metric measurements Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods This position offers the opportunity to grow from a strong operator into a highly skilled machinist with programming and advanced machining capabilities.
