High SchoolResponsibilities Setup & Run:

Perform complete, independent setups on 3/4/5-axis CNC mills and/or live-tool turning centers.

G-Code & Edit:

Read, interpret, and edit G-code/M-code programs at the machine controller (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Heidenhain).

Precision Inspection:

Hold tight tolerances (down to $\pm 0.0002"$) using micrometers, bore gages, calipers, surface plates, and optical comparators / CMMs.

Process Optimization:

Select optimal tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding (fixtures, soft jaws, vacuum chucks) to maximize tool life and cycle efficiency.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose chatter, tool wear, dimensional drift, and thermal expansion on the fly.
