Job Title:
Machinist Job Description The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting various types of conventional or automatic machines, including CNC machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other precision equipment. This role may also involve assisting Manufacturing Team Members in the set-up of machines. Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of tasks to set up and operate CNC Machines. Write and edit programs as needed to meet overall requirements. Operate machines with 2-5 axis including Horizontals, Verticals, lathes, and a 5-axis Integrex. Read drawings and prints to create parts. Conduct multiple machine changeovers per shift. Use micrometers and calipers to check the quality of parts. Handle changeovers independently and possess a strong understanding of CNC machine logic. Write basic programs and post-edit CNC programs to optimize performance. Set up jobs, run jobs, and inspect parts. Detect worn tools and replace tooling as necessary. Essential Skills 4+ years of CNC machining experience or a CNC tech degree. Proficiency in programming, setup, and machining with CNC machines. Understanding of G-Codes and G&M Codes. Ability to read blueprints and use micrometers and calipers. Experience with machines such asHAAS, MORI
SEIKI, MAZAK, BROTHERS, MITSUBISHI, andBRIDGEPORTS.
Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or Trade School for CNC is preferred. Familiarity with mazak, haas, fanuc, axis, and tooling. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a temperature-controlled and clean environment with a dedicated team of 125 employees. The schedule is on a 3rd shift, working from 10pm to 6:30am, usually involving 9-10 hour shifts, 6 days a week. The company specializes in producing power clamps and manual clamps. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Juliet, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
