Description The Machinist is responsible for producing high-precision fab parts across a variety of CNC machines. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines (Haas, Mazak), including 3-axis machines, 5-axis machines, horizontal mills, and lathes. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GibbsCAM files to machining tasks.
Perform precise machining operations to create parts that meet exact specifications and tolerances within +/- 0.005". Inspect and verify parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, FARO) to ensure adherence to strict quality standards.
Assist with in-process deburr as parts complete machining operations. Follow established safety protocols, wear all required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Check calibration status of assigned tools and equipment. Maintain a work record. Perform all other tasks as assigned. Requirements
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status. Minimum 1 year of machining experience and/or relevant technical training program. Ability to read and comprehend drawings, quality documents, etc. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of GD&T. Excellent time management with the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred, But Not Required:
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch.
Experience with multi-axis machining for high-tolerance parts. Familiarity with relevant materials (e.g., 6061 aluminum, copper, specialty plastics, etc.). Why Join Us?
