Job Description

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
4 or more years of experience as a CNC Machinist. Experience operating Giddings & Lewis (G&L) Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs), including machining large, heavy, and complex components such as engine blocks, turbine rotors, and large gears. Demonstrated ability to perform precision turning, boring, and facing operations while maintaining tight tolerances. Familiarity with CNC controls, machine setup, and leveraging vertical spindle configurations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient workpiece handling. Passion to build Spacecraft and Rocket components. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in math and computer skills as they apply to CNC machining operations. Ability to support 1st and 2nd shift assignments, overtime, and weekend work, as needed.
