ESSENTIAL JOB

FUNCTIONSSet up and operate manual lathes with Fanuc controls per blueprints, GD&T, and operation sheetsWork with sheet metal and tight tolerancesProve out and make simple edits to NC programs; download/edit programs from CIMNET systemPerform routine maintenance and monitor fluid levels; report malfunctions to maintenance/supervisorMaintain a clean and safe work area and machineryAccurately complete all required production paperworkEnsure all work meets quality standards and specificationsUse precision tools to measure parts and verify tolerancesRead and interpret blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructionsObserve machining operations to detect malfunctions or excessive wearMaintain required personal tools for machinist duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS 2

plus years of experience of manual machiningProficient in operating and editing manual machine tools (e.g. lathes, grinders)Experience running/cutting threads on a manual lathe is required Skilled in using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometersUnderstanding of metal properties and machining proceduresAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsStrong math and analytical skillsPhysical strength and stamina to lift heavy itemsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredVocational training or apprenticeship is a plus #psbrenham
