ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Set up and operate manual lathes with Fanuc controls per blueprints, GD&T, and operation sheets Work with sheet metal and tight tolerances Prove out and make simple edits to NC programs; download/edit programs from CIMNET system Perform routine maintenance and monitor fluid levels; report malfunctions to maintenance/supervisor Maintain a clean and safe work area and machinery Accurately complete all required production paperwork Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications Use precision tools to measure parts and verify tolerances Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions Observe machining operations to detect malfunctions or excessive wear Maintain required personal tools for machinist duties
JOB REQUIREMENTS 2
plus years of experience of manual machining Proficient in operating and editing manual machine tools (e.g. lathes, grinders) Experience running/cutting threads on a manual lathe is required Skilled in using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers Understanding of metal properties and machining procedures Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Strong math and analytical skills Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy items High school diploma or equivalent required Vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus
