Job Description This role focuses on operating CNC machinery in a new machine shop environment, preparing machines for production, loading materials, and overseeing machining operations. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient production while performing basic inspection of parts to maintain quality standards. Responsibilities Prepare CNC machines for production, including setup and basic adjustments. Load materials and components into machines and ensure proper alignment and positioning. Oversee machining operations to ensure parts are produced to specification. Perform basic inspection of machined parts to verify dimensions and quality. Monitor machine performance and report any issues or irregularities promptly. Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with a small production team to meet daily and weekly output goals. Support continuous improvement efforts in the new machine shop by providing feedback on processes and equipment. Essential Skills 2-3 years of machine operator experience in a machine shop environment. Hands-on experience operating CNC or similar production machinery. Ability to prepare, load, and oversee machine operations with minimal supervision. Basic inspection skills to check parts for accuracy and quality. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety and quality procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a small production team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a new or growing machine shop environment. Comfort working with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
