$35-$50/hr Updated 08/2026 Job Description Overview $35-$50/hr Job Summary We're hiring experienced CNC Machinists for a fast-growing defense technology company in Dallas that is building the world's first AI-piloted autonomous aircraft. Backed by over $3B in funding and valued at $12.7B, the company is scaling production rapidly and needs skilled machinists to join its machine shop team. This is prototype work: small batch, high-mix, tight tolerances. Every part you make goes into something that flies. If you've spent your career in production shops running the same part thousands of times, this probably isn't for you. This is a small, tight-knit machine shop inside a company doing something that has genuinely never been done before. The facility is clean, well-equipped, and state of the art. There is real opportunity to grow as the company scales production. Requirements CNC Machinist — 1st and 2nd Shift 2-5 years of CNC machining experience Strong CNC milling skills; this is primarily a milling shop, not a lathe environment Able to read complex engineering drawings and interpret GD&T Basic CAM and/or G-code editing knowledge Able to independently set up and run CNC jobs Experienced selecting appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds Comfortable performing in-process inspection and troubleshooting machining issues Experience building simple fixtures and workholding Able to work independently and make sound decisions at the machine Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts What You'll Be Doing Set up and operate CNC milling machines for prototype and low-volume production Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements Select tooling, workholding, speeds, and feeds for each job Make program edits and adjustments at the machine as needed Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components Troubleshoot tooling, fixturing, setup, and machining issues Build simple fixtures and workholding solutions Work closely with engineers and other machinists to develop effective machining approaches Take ownership of jobs from setup through completion Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area What Applies to the Role

Shifts:
1st and 2nd shift opportunities available Controls in the shop include FANUC and Siemens Cincinnati. Training on controls can be provided. Overtime is part of the role. The team is in a high-tempo production phase and the work matters. You need to be someone who can be trusted to work independently, make smart decisions at the machine, and take ownership of your shift.
