Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various machining tools and equipment. This role is essential for producing high-quality components and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently. The Manual Machinist will work closely with engineers and other team members to create precision parts that meet strict specifications. Responsibilities Operate manual milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce parts according to engineering specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining processes and dimensions. Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions and tolerances. Perform CAM programming for CNC machines when necessary, ensuring optimal production efficiency. Apply GD&T principles to maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during production. Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed for transporting materials within the facility. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Qualifications Proven 5 years experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical documents. Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is a plus. Experience with Mazatrol programming is highly desirable. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred. Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality control. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
