Job Description
Summit Casing Equipment proudly manufactures our own lines of solid body centralizers, bow spring centralizers, composite centralizers, float equipment, and stage tools. This capability allows us to supply a wide range of parts to meet your operational needs. We're in the casing equipment business - it's our only focus. Available positions on Weekend Day shift! Weekend Day shift is alternating week schedules, Thursday-Sunday and Friday - Sunday from 4:30am - 4:30pm
SUMMARY:
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for running CNC lathe equipment to produce product in a high mix moderate volume environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities for this position shall include but is not limited to the following:- Operate CNC lathes including set-ups / changeovers, offsets, change inserts, tooling, etc.
- Proficient in the use of standard measuring devices
- Trouble shoot any problems that may occur during operation
- Provide in-process inspection.
- Achieve production output and quality per standards.
- Demonstrate basic manufacturing line knowledge and participate in process improvement.
- Read and comprehend moderately complex instructions.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Complete tasks as assigned with limited supervision.
- Other duties may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of experience as CNC lathe operator in a machine shop or production environment.
- Experience turning / threading API products (BTC, LTC); preferably > 9 5/8" OD casing couplings or related.
- Experience with FANUC controls / codes (preferably on YCM, Doosan, or Samsung CNC lathes).
- Experience using Gagemaker thread measurement tools preferred.
- Experience in a high mix moderate volume operation.
- Ability to use micrometers, calibers, other measurement instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of and ability to read technical prints.
- Must be able to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
- Must be a team player.
- Must consistently be at work and on time.
- Must have passion & enthusiasm for work.

- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and respond to urgent customer requirements 24/7 as necessary, while maintaining meticulous follow-up and process execution.
