Weekend Day shift is alternating week schedules, Thursday-Sunday and Friday - Sunday from 4:30am - 4:30pm

SUMMARY:

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for running CNC lathe equipment to produce product in a high mix moderate volume environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities for this position shall include but is not limited to the following:

• Operate CNC lathes including set-ups / changeovers, offsets, change inserts, tooling, etc.
• Proficient in the use of standard measuring devices
• Trouble shoot any problems that may occur during operation
• Provide in-process inspection.
• Achieve production output and quality per standards.
• Demonstrate basic manufacturing line knowledge and participate in process improvement.
• Read and comprehend moderately complex instructions.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Complete tasks as assigned with limited supervision.
• Other duties may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of experience as CNC lathe operator in a machine shop or production environment.
• Experience turning / threading API products (BTC, LTC); preferably > 9 5/8" OD casing couplings or related.
• Experience with FANUC controls / codes (preferably on YCM, Doosan, or Samsung CNC lathes).
• Experience using Gagemaker thread measurement tools preferred.
• Experience in a high mix moderate volume operation.
• Ability to use micrometers, calibers, other measurement instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of and ability to read technical prints.
• Must be able to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
• Must be a team player.
• Must consistently be at work and on time.
• Must have passion & enthusiasm for work.
