Full Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Machinist to manufacture precision seat belt components for the automotive industry. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining machining equipment while ensuring parts meet strict safety and quality standards. You will work hands-on with grinders, tools, and production equipment while learning precision manufacturing in a safety-critical industry. Responsibilities Operate surface, bench, or cylindrical grinders, manual mill and manual lathe Deburr, finish, and inspect machined parts Load and unload parts from machines Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Perform basic machine setups with training Inspect parts for quality and defects Follow work instructions and safety procedures Machine metal and composite parts to exact specifications and tolerances Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions Maintain a clean and organized work area Support machinists and production staff as needed Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Basic knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment Attention to detail and quality Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Trade school or shop class experience Experience with grinders or manufacturing equipment Basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) Manufacturing or warehouse experience
