What You'll Do
The Machinist is responsible for the machining of new and repair part products to print specifications
Perform operational functions of CNC machines, maintain proper maintenance of machine equipment
Reading of blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required
Observe machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements
Maintain a safe work environment and keep work area clean and organized
Conduct all business activities in accordance with company code of conduct, policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements
This position is performed in a climate-controlled shop environment
Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs
Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
Work in both cold and hot climates
Work in or near industrial hazards
Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to meet demands of the role
What You'll Need
Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC and Manual machining (proficient in Lathes, Vertical mills, Horizontal mills, key setters, grinding)
Ability to apply basic written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, work orders and drawings
Ability to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills
Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate
Ability to follow directions and procedures
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools at a speed necessary for successful job performance
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, climbing.
Your Education
High School Diploma or GED required
