Temp to direct 2 nd Shift Monday

•Thursday, 2:00

•12:30am

Pay:

$25.00

•$28.00 Position Summary The CNC Machinist II independently sets up, operates, inspects, and troubleshoot CNC machining for standard production runs. This role requires full setups, print reading (GD&T), basic G-code edits, and in-process inspection.

Key Responsibilities Setup & Operation:

Independently set up and run CNC machinery using prints, fixtures, and tooling. Perform tool touch-offs, work offsets, and adjust feeds/speeds as needed.

Inspection & Quality:

Read complex blueprints and apply GD&T. Perform in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, and indicators to contain scrap and ensure quality standards.

G-Code & Troubleshooting:

Perform basic G-code edits at the machine. Resolve common tooling, offset, and surface finish issues across various materials.

Mentorship & Team Support:

Assist and guide CNC Operators and Machinist I team members. Recommend process improvements and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications Education:

High school diploma/GED required; technical degree or machining apprenticeship preferred.

Experience:

3+ years of independent CNC setup and machining experience.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in reading complex prints, applying GD&T, making G-code edits, and using standard precision measuring tools.

Physical Requirements & Environment Environment:

Machine shop environment with noise, oil/coolants, chips, and dust. Standard PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection) required.

Physical Demands:
