Aerospace / Precision Manufacturing Position Overview Parker Hannifin is seeking experienced Machinist Technicians / CNC Machinists to join its Commercial Flight Controls Division in Ogden, Utah. This is an excellent opportunity for highly skilled machinists with strong CNC setup, machining, and precision manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of directly related machining experience and be comfortable setting up and operating CNC and conventional machines independently. Experience with Swiss lathes, grinders, CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual machining is highly valued.

Run multiple machines efficiently, including simultaneous operations when required. Perform complex machine setups using standard and custom workholding devices. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions. Machine components to close and exact tolerances. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, equipment, and process issues. Make tooling adjustments and recommend improvements to machining processes. Work with Engineering to resolve drawing, tooling, and manufacturing issues. Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, surface plates, and other precision measuring equipment. Operate or utilize CMM equipment when required. Perform SPC activities and maintain accurate production and quality records. Maintain machining equipment to ensure accuracy, cleanliness, and reliability. Apply Lean manufacturing principles and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce costs. Help coordinate workload priorities based on production requirements. Train and mentor less-experienced machinists and team members. Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures. Required Qualifications 5+ years of directly related machining experience in a high-technology or precision manufacturing environment. Strong hands-on experience with CNC machine setup and operation . Experience with one or more of the following: CNC lathes CNC mills Swiss lathes Grinders Manual machining equipment Ability to independently perform precision machine setups. Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills. Knowledge of precision measurement techniques and equipment. Working knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, including trigonometry. Experience troubleshooting machining and process issues. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication and mentoring skills. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. when required. Preferred Qualifications Aerospace or aircraft manufacturing experience. Experience machining tight-tolerance components. Experience with CMM inspection. Experience with SPC and Lean manufacturing. Experience with complex CNC setups and multiple workholding stations. Swiss machining experience. Experience working with precision flight-control components. Relocation Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates relocating to the Ogden, Utah area. Candidates currently living more than 50 miles from Ogden may qualify. Ideal Candidate We are looking for experienced CNC machinists and precision machinists , not entry-level machine operators. Candidates should be capable of independently setting up machines, interpreting complex drawings, troubleshooting machining issues, and producing high-quality precision components with minimal supervision.
