3rd Shift Position - 11pm - 7am
TRAINING FOR THE POSITION WILL BE ON 1ST SHIFT
(7AM-3PM)
FOR SEVERAL WEEKS PRIOR TO SWITCHING TO 3RD SHIFT
(11PM-7AM). Position Summary The 3rd Shift Machinist (Hydromat) & Mikron Operator is responsible for operating, adjusting and maintaining Hydromat and Mikron production equipment to ensure consistent, high‑quality output. This role supports continuous improvement, zero‑defect goals and strong customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Operate Hydromat & Mikron machinery to meet production and quality standards Adjust machine setups as needed to maintain proper quality (with Leader approval when required) Use precision measuring instruments to verify part quality Apply SPC to monitor and improve process capability Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Hydromats and record tasks in FMX Conduct routine machine maintenance and service equipment (excluding major breakdowns) Perform limited tool work , including sharpening tools using grinders Maintain a clean, organized work environment and support 5S expectations Support zero‑defect product goals and meet internal/external customer expectations Weigh, label and identify work correctly Participate in continuous improvement and team problem‑solving activities Train new operators and assist in evaluating operator performance Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership Position Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to operate complex machinery and control supplied tools Proficiency with precision gauges and measuring instruments Must supply and maintain personal tools Physical ability to stand for up to 12 hours and lift 25-35 lbs. independently, and maneuver heavier loads with assistance Commitment to quality , continuous improvement and safe work practices Additional Information This job description is not all‑inclusive.
