Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 5-Axis Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up advanced 5-axis CNC machining centers to produce complex, precision-engineered components. Your expertise in multi-axis machining, blueprint interpretation, and CNC programming will be essential in delivering high-quality parts efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, contribute to innovative projects, and develop your skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Duties Set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and other CAM programming tools to produce intricate parts with precision. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes. Perform machine calibration, tool selection, and tooling changes to optimize machining operations. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions and quality. Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust machine parameters, and perform manual machining or grinding when necessary to meet tight tolerances. Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, inspection reports, and quality control records. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices and efficient machine setup procedures. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code for 5-axis machining centers. Extensive experience with CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, and manual machining techniques. Strong understanding of CAD software such as SolidWorks and general CAD/CAM integration for toolpath generation. Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints and mechanical blueprints interpretation skills. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, grinders, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with CNC machine setup procedures on Fanuc or similar controllers. Experience with CNC quality inspection methods including measurement (quality control) and GD&T standards. Ability to work safely with machining tools, welding equipment when necessary, forklifts for material handling, and tooling management. Basic math skills for calculations related to dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances. Knowledge of plastics injection molding or metal machining processes is advantageous but not required. Join us as a 5-Axis Machinist if you're passionate about precision manufacturing! Bring your mechanical expertise and enthusiasm for advanced machining techniques to help us produce high-quality components that meet the highest standards of excellence.
