Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and measurement will ensure the highest quality standards are met while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives. Duties Set up and operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems. Program CNC machines utilizing G-code, M-code, CAM programming software, and CAD/CAM tools like SolidWorks and CAD to produce complex parts. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and tooling specifications. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments for quality control. Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and adherence to specifications. Conduct manual machining operations when necessary using hand tools, grinders, power tools, and machining tools for fine-tuning parts. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety protocols; support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines with Fanuc or similar control systems. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with CAM software for programming complex parts. Skilled in reading mechanical blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for precise manufacturing. Familiarity with measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality inspection. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and perform manual machining tasks when required. Knowledge of metal machining processes including grinding, boring, turning, milling, and tool setup. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while adhering to safety standards and quality requirements.
