- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts and components according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD files to determine machining sequences, tooling, and fixturing.
- Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices for each job.
- Load raw material/stock, set tool and work offsets, and edit CNC programs (G-code) as needed to achieve required tolerances.
- Monitor the machining process and make adjustments to speeds, feeds, and offsets to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and promptly report mechanical issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
- Accurately complete production paperwork, quality logs, and time tracking records.
- Collaborate with quality control, engineering, and other production staff to resolve machining issues and improve processes. Required Skills/Experience
- 1+ years of experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Experience with Fanuc CNC controls and basic G-code editing a plus.
- Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in machining a plus. Job Type
