Job Description

CNC Machinist Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing | Gill Arms Gill Arms is looking for a motivated CNC Machinist to join our growing precision manufacturing operation. The primary responsibility will be Machining Haas vertical machining center with rotary/4th-axis capability to manufacture high-precision components for aerospace and defense applications. Matercam skill is preferred or candidate must be willing to learn. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on machining, solving manufacturing problems, and working in a smaller company where strong performance can have a direct impact. Responsibilities Set up and operate Haas CNC milling machines Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T Machine complex precision components while maintaining close tolerances Set and adjust cutting tools, work offsets, and tool offsets Understand and optimize feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining parameters Inspect finished and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment Monitor machining operations and make adjustments when necessary Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and dimensional issues Help improve cycle times, quality, reliability, and overall productivity Qualifications CNC machining experience required; 6+ months preferred Experience operating Haas CNC mills preferred Experience with a rotary or 4th axis is a plus Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances and GD&T Familiarity with common precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and similar equipment Working knowledge of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, tool offsets, and machining practices Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts Ability to work effectively as part of a small and growing manufacturing team High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Employment Position:
CNC Machinist Compensation Hourly pay based on experience and skill level. We are interested in people who want to grow with the company, improve processes, and take ownership of their work.
