Job Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a direct hire opportunity in Seattle, WA. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who enjoys producing high-precision components, working with tight tolerances, and supporting both prototype and low-volume production. The CNC Machinist will work in a quality-focused manufacturing environment with close collaboration between machining, engineering, and manufacturing teams. - Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precision components.
- Manufacture prototype, one-off, and low-volume parts from engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
- Program, edit, or modify CNC programs as needed to support production requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for complex machining work.
- Inspect finished components using precision measurement tools to ensure conformance to quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and production issues in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $35 to $45 per hour.
- Compensation depends on experience, programming capabilities, equipment knowledge, and complexity of machining work.
- Recruiter notes indicate that highly experienced CNC machinists with advanced programming, complex setup, and prototype machining experience may command $40 to $50+ per hour.

- Read engineering drawings, GD&T, technical specifications, and models.
- Inspect parts and troubleshoot machining issues to support quality and production goals.
- 3+ years of CNC machining or related precision manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong experience with CNC mill and/or lathe setup and operation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, materials, speeds, and feeds.
- Ability to troubleshoot tooling, setup, programming, and production challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality precision components.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams. Preferred Qualifications
- CNC programming and/or CAM software experience.
- Experience producing prototype, one-off, or low-volume precision components.
- Advanced setup experience with complex parts and tight tolerances.
- Ability to provide input on manufacturability, machining processes, and continuous improvement opportunities.
