Experienced CNC & Manual Machinist - 1st
Shift Location:
Eau Claire, WI Pay:
$18.00-$38.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Build Precision. Enjoy Your Life Outside of Work. We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team in Eau Claire, WI. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC and manual machining skills and enjoy producing high-quality precision parts in a professional shop environment. This position is ideal for a machinist who takes pride in their craftsmanship and wants a stable career opportunity with a company that values quality, teamwork, and work-life balance. This is a first-shift position with no nights, no weekends, little to no mandatory overtime, and flexible work hours. What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, and Wire EDM machines (training available for qualified machinists without Wire EDM experience).
  • Perform manual machining on lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding based on job requirements.
  • Make machine offsets and minor program adjustments to maintain part quality.
  • Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Maintain tight tolerances and produce quality parts to customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications
  • Experienced machinist with CNC setup and operation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC lathes and CNC mills.
  • Manual machining experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound machining decisions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and committed to producing quality work. Preferred Experience
  • Strong manual machining experience with lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
  • CNC lathe and CNC mill setup and operation experience.
  • Wire EDM setup and operation experience (training available for the right candidate).
  • G-code programming knowledge.
  • CAM software experience.
  • Experience machining a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics.
  • Experience with prototype, tooling, and production machining. Benefits
