We are seeking experienced machinists who take pride in quality workmanship and are comfortable setting up and operating CNC and conventional machining equipment , including Bridgeport mills, vertical mills, horizontal mills, and lathes. Position Highlights 1st & 2nd Shift Opportunities Starting $25 or higher per hour , depending on experience $4,000 Sign-On Bonus Full-time position Flexible Schedule Work with CNC and conventional mills and lathes Custom and precision metal manufacturing Opportunity to work with a variety of materials and machining processes Work in a modern, climate-controlled manufacturing facility Team-oriented, hands-on work environment What You'll Do As a Precision Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, programming, adjusting, and inspecting machine parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards. Set up programming by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches. Operate Bridgeport mills, CNC vertical mills, horizontal mills, or CNC lathes. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Read and edit G & M code . Utilize CAD/CAM software to optimize production efficiency and improve cycle times. Calculate dimensions and requirements using basic math, fractions, decimals, geometry, and trigonometry. Select, install, adjust, sharpen, and replace cutting tools. Verify machine settings and perform first-piece inspections. Perform accurate dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring equipment. Monitor machines for tool wear, vibration, unusual sounds, and other potential problems. Adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and machine controls to maintain quality and efficiency. Troubleshoot machining processes and make necessary corrections. Inspect material and components from waterjet, laser, saw, and welding operations. Identify defective materials or questionable conditions and report them to the appropriate supervisor. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized. Follow all company quality and safety procedures. Work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent education/experience. Manufacturing or machining experience. Experience performing machining setups. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and tool maintenance. Ability to read and edit G & M code. Strong measurement and inspection skills. Ability to perform fraction-to-decimal conversions and basic machining calculations. Ability to identify and work with common metals, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, and brass. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
