We are a small, make-to-order, UAW shop that is looking for individuals that have set-up and operation experience of a Horizontal Mazak and/or Vertical Mazak. Must know G & M codes for program editing. Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading a must. Orientation/Training to be done on 1st shift; position may then move to 2nd shift. Responsibilities Set up CNC milling machines and fixtures, load programs, and verify tool offsets to ensure accurate part production. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, GD&T, and specifications; perform in-process inspections using calipers, bore gauges and other measuring tools. Select cutting tools, set feeds and speeds, and monitor tool wear; adjust parameters to maintain tolerance and surface finish. Execute M-code and G-code programs; troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic adjustments if needed. Maintain a clean, safe work area and document production logs, tool changes, and quality checks.
