Position Summary:

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce quality parts that meet specifications. This position also serves as a backup to the Assembly department when needed.

Responsibilities:

Set up and run CNC machines to make parts according to drawings and specifications. Program, edit, and adjust programs as necessary using Mastercam (G-code, Fanuc). Operate additional equipment including drill press, VMC, lathe, and saw. Check parts with measuring tools to ensure accuracy. Perform general cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment and work area. Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and instructions. Keep accurate records of work performed. Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area. Work with team members to meet production goals. Assist the Assembly department as a backup when needed.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

2-year technical degree. Experience in CNC machine setup, programming, and operation. Proficiency with Mastercam (G-code, Fanuc). Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools. Good mechanical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to assist in Assembly as needed.

Pay:

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
