Job Description Manual Machinist Job Details Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | $33.00/Hour Overtime possible and mandatory based on production needs Manual Machinist Requirements Previous manual machining experience required Strong experience setting up, adjusting, and operating manual machine tools Experience operating horizontal and vertical manual lathes About the Manual Machinist Role As a Manual Machinist, your responsibilities will include: Setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of manual machine tools Performing progressive machining operations on close-tolerance components Operating horizontal and vertical manual lathes Operating knee mills, drill presses, boring bars, boring mills, grinders, and other manual machining equipment Working with large milling and turning machines and special-purpose equipment Machining medium-to-small components with critical dimensional and tolerance requirements Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and job layouts Determining the proper sequence of machining operations Selecting appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds for each machining operation Performing machine setups accurately and efficiently Diagnosing and correcting tooling issues and machine malfunctions Using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances Measuring and tracking specified dimensions throughout the machining process Inspecting completed components to ensure they meet required specifications Making necessary machine adjustments to maintain close tolerances and product quality Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on machining equipment Maintaining clean, organized, and safe machining centers and work areas Performing additional machining, maintenance, and production duties as assigned Why Work With Crown Get paid weekly!
