This role requires experience with manual lathes, knee mills, boring bars, grinders, and special-purpose machines.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, grinders, and other machining tools Work from blueprints, specifications, and job layouts to produce close-tolerance components Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions Perform quality checks using a variety of precision measuring instruments Maintain a clean and organized work area, including scheduled preventative maintenance

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience operating manual lathes, mills, and grinders Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job layouts Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, calipers, etc.) Strong problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting as required
