$27.00+$34 /hour, based on experience Position Overview A growing manufacturer is seeking experienced CNC Machinist II candidates for both 1st and 2nd shift. This is an intermediate CNC position for someone who has progressed beyond basic machine operation and can perform machine setups, tooling adjustments, basic program identification/adjustments, blueprint interpretation, and in-process inspection with limited supervision. The role supports custom, made-to-order production using CNC machining and fabrication equipment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining and fabrication equipment. Produce custom components according to work orders, drawings, and customer specifications. Load and secure material, tooling, fixtures, and workholding. Make machine and tooling adjustments within established processes. Interpret basic-to-intermediate blueprints and machining instructions. Perform milling, drilling, facing, threading, and related machining operations. Monitor multiple machines when production requirements allow. Inspect finished parts using standard measuring instruments. Identify tooling issues and verify equipment is safe and ready for operation. Complete production and work-order documentation. Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance. Assist with training and cross-training other operators. Follow established quality and safety procedures. Qualifications 2+ years of CNC machining or related manufacturing experience. Experience operating CNC mills, machining centers, routers, turning equipment, or similar machinery. Working knowledge of CNC machining techniques and tooling. Some experience with machine setup and adjustments. Ability to read and interpret basic-to-intermediate blueprints. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar measuring equipment. Basic-to-intermediate shop math skills. Strong attention to quality and ability to work independently. High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of technical training and experience. Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
