What You'll Do Assist Laser/Burn Operators with daily production activities. Operate horizontal and vertical band saws to cut metal to specified dimensions. Read work orders, blueprints, tape measures, and other measuring tools. Set up equipment and make basic adjustments to cutting parameters. Measure and inspect materials before and after cutting. Load, unload, and move metal materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, or other authorized equipment. Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance. Keep the work area clean and organized. Follow all safety procedures and required PPE guidelines. What We're Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent required . Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience preferred. Previous experience with band saws, metal-cutting equipment, or other industrial machinery preferred. Ability to read a tape measure and use calipers. Basic math and measurement skills. Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work for extended periods. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Comfortable working around heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, oils, and metal particles . Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Steel-toed boots required. Work Environment This is a heavy manufacturing environment. The position involves exposure to machinery, metal materials, noise, vibration, heat/cold, dust, fumes, oils, and metallic particles. Required PPE includes a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots with metatarsal protection, and hearing protection. Additional face protection is required when operating grinders.
