Equipment Operator / Plumber B&C Plumbing is looking for an experienced, dependable Equipment Operator / Plumber to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable operating heavy equipment while also assisting with and performing plumbing installation, service, and repair work. Responsibilities Operate excavators, mini excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and other equipment used for plumbing and utility work Excavate and backfill for water lines, sewer lines, and other underground plumbing Install and repair water and sewer lines Assist with residential and commercial plumbing installations and repairs Perform general plumbing work as needed Locate underground utilities and work safely around existing services Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials Maintain equipment and report needed repairs or maintenance Keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe Work with other plumbers and crew members to complete projects efficiently Follow company and OSHA safety procedures Qualifications Previous experience operating excavation or construction equipment required Plumbing experience strongly preferred Experience with underground water and sewer work preferred Ability to safely operate a mini excavator, skid steer, and similar equipment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, digging, bending, and working outdoors Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team Ability to follow instructions and complete work with minimal supervision Plumbing license or certifications are a plus but not required depending on experience About B&C Plumbing B&C Plumbing is a family-owned plumbing company serving the Huntsville and surrounding North Alabama area.
