Roll Thread Operator Trainee (Straight Roll and Sems)

Muscle Shoals, Alabama Status:
Full-time non-exempt

1st Altius is a manufacturing and supply chain company built for industrial customers who care about execution. We source, manufacture, and deliver engineered fasteners, fabricated components, machined parts, and Class C supply programs for OEMs across HVAC, automotive, elevator, and industrial markets. Our operations include U.S.-based manufacturing, global sourcing, VMI, kitting, and 3PL services — all focused on reliability, speed, and cost control. Altius is hiring an experienced Roll Thread Setup Operator to support and grow our manufacturing operation in Northwest Alabama. We manufacture engineered fasteners and components using cold heading and thread rolling equipment in a production-driven environment focused on efficiency, consistency, and quality. Relocation assistance is available for experienced candidates. Key Responsibilities Learn to set up and operate roll thread machines (Straight Roll and Sems) Read and follow blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production Comply with work instructions and in-process quality control procedures Inspect parts using gages and measurement tools Monitor machine operation and track production progress Transport and manage production materials including dumping pans and welding wire Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all safety guidelines Work independently and as part of a production team in varying environmental conditions Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Willingness to learn and grow within a structured training program Ability to work in hot or cold conditions and perform physical tasks High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation is helpful but not required Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
