The Operator Trainee position works under the direction of the Terminal Manager helping to support the entire production process of the Warrior Asphalt facility. The Operator Trainee's goal is to assist the Plant Operator with the production process while maintaining a high level of quality and flow of materials into and out of the facility. Operator Trainees are responsible for assisting with the receiving of products by truck, barge, or rail, product inventory management, tank gauging, product transfers, product blending, oxidation of industrial asphalts, and initial QC testing of production oxidation runs. They also are responsible for assisting with the safe loading and unloading of products in trucks, barge, and rail.
Responsibilities and Duties Job Duties :
Operate pumps, valves, blenders and load/unload product from trucks, barge, and railcars Measure and gather samples of asphalt products Perform cleaning, preventative, and regular terminal maintenance duties Perform record-keeping duties related to storage and transfer of product Other duties as assignedQualifications and Skills Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Basic math skills Ability to work a rotating shift, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime and be on call, as needed Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, climb ladders and stairs and work in areas with elevated heights up to 50 feet. Ability to work outside and wear personal protective equipment as needed Ability to lift up to 50lbs Good verbal and written communication skillsJob Type:
