About the
Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced CO2 Laser Operator to join our team in a reputable machine shop environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machine shop professional looking to join a fast-paced fabrication and machining environment. The ideal candidate will have strong machine shop experience, mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to producing quality work while meeting customer deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CO2 laser equipment, Amada equipment, Haas equipment, and other fabrication and machining equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to working in a fast-paced fabrication and machining shop while maintaining quality and meeting 48-hour customer turnaround requirements.
  • Read and understand technical drawings as they relate to production requirements; edit programs when necessary and adjust quickly to changing production priorities.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively, ask for assistance when needed, and assist coworkers when required while following all safety procedures. Requirements
  • 5 years of machine shop experience required. A technical trade certificate may be substituted for a portion of the required on-the-job experience.
  • CO2 laser operating experience required/preferred, with experience operating Amada, Haas, and other CNC/fabrication equipment strongly preferred. Program editing experience is a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, troubleshoot problems, communicate effectively, and work well as part of a team.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and available vehicle and be able to stand for extended periods, move throughout the workplace, stoop, bend, crouch, and regularly lift or move materials weighing 50+ lbs.
  • Must be aware of manufacturing and machine shop safety hazards, willing to use appropriate protective equipment and precautions, and comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
