Job Description
The Machine Operator I
•Batching (MO1) is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of batching equipment used in coffee processing. This role ensures that coffee is properly prepared and batched according to production specifications, supporting quality and throughput goals. The MO1 collaborates with the Processing Supervisor and other team members to maintain product integrity and operational excellence.
Job Duties:
- Operates batching equipment to prepare coffee blends according to manufacturing specifications.
- Selects appropriate batching bins and initiates batching via computer interface.
- Monitors and adjusts batching parameters to ensure consistency and quality.
- Performs pre-batch checks including weight and blend verification.
- Coordinates with quality assurance to collect and submit batch samples.
- Maintains accurate records of batch numbers, lot codes, and production times.
- Coordinates with line support for materials.
- Supports packaging line by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of batched coffee.
- Troubleshoots and resolves basic to moderate batching issues.
- Follows all safety and quality protocols, including PPE usage and cleanliness.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, listening)
Strong leadership and training abilities
Ability to follow specifications and manuals
Basic math and mechanical aptitude
Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and personal accountability
