Job Description

HIL - Milk Receiver Job Description The Milk Receiver is an hourly position and reports to the assigned shift production supervisor. Milk Receivers are responsible for the unloading of milk from tanker trucks, washing and sanitizing tanker trucks, silos, and receiving lines, and aiding in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintains all pumps, piping, and other items necessary for the actual unloading of product. Sanitizes all unloading equipment prior to its use. Checks all incoming tanker loads for order, temperature, taste, and any other factors in accordance with the Quality Assurance Program. Responsible for the actual flow of all incoming products to their proper holding silos. Responsible for the procurement of all necessary samples, in accordance with the Quality Assurance Program, and state or federal regulatory agencies, prior to the actual unloading of the product. Responsible for the washing of all pumps, piping, and equipment used while performing the unloading or loading process during the shift and maintaining the entire receiving area in a clean and orderly manner while in compliance with quality assurance policies.
Qualifications and Experience :
One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire State Lab Sample Testing Certification and Sample Pulling Certification. Ability to read and interpret receiving documents.
Minimum age:
18 Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
May be required to lift, carry, lower 1-50lbs, and occasionally 60 lbs. Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals. Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach at, above and below the shoulder.
