Job Duties Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging machinery to meet production goals Monitor multiple machines and respond quickly to operational needs Record production data, machine readings, and operational information Perform routine quality checks to ensure product standards are met Utilize computer systems to track production and equipment performance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate production issues and equipment concerns with team members and supervisors Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial. Experience Requirements Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance. Preferred Qualifications Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred. Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Packaging Machine Operator. Physical Capabilities Stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
