Full Job Description WillowWood Global LLC Position Title:
Machine Operato Position Summary WillowWood Global is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to support manufacturing operations within our Production Team. This role is primarily responsible for operating CNC milling machines and waterjet cutting equipment to produce high-quality prosthetic foot components according to specifications, engineering drawings, and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to interpret drawings and work instructions. Experience with CNC machining and/or machine setup is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset. Waterjet experience is a plus but not required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate CNC milling machines and waterjet cutting equipment safely and efficiently. Produce prosthetic foot components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Load materials, tooling, and fixtures as required for production. Set up machines for production runs, as qualified and assigned. Monitor machine performance and identify quality, tooling, or equipment issues. Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment. Verify conformance of completed parts to quality standards and specifications. Record production data and complete required documentation accurately. Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and team members to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes. Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1-3 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Basic understanding of machining principles and mechanical aptitude. Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Basic math and computer skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment. Experience performing CNC machine setup, tooling changes, offsets, and basic program adjustments. Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming concepts. Experience with Haas or similar CNC equipment. Experience operating Omax waterjet systems is a plus. Vocational, technical, or trade school training in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field. Work Environment Manufacturing shop environment; clean, climate-controlled facility. Exposure to machinery noise, moving equipment, cutting fluids, dust, and vibration. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and material handling required throughout the shift. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the workday. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to use hands and fingers to operate machinery, tools, and measuring instruments. Ability to visually inspect parts and read measurements accurately.
