Job Description

TENX Marketing is seeking an experienced Embroidery Machine Operator and Heat Press Specialist to join our in-house apparel production team. This is not an entry-level position. We need a dependable, skilled operator who has at least three years of hands-on experience running commercial multi-head embroidery equipment and can independently manage embroidery jobs from setup through final quality inspection. The ideal candidate can confidently operate a Ricoma six-head embroidery machine, maintain production quality, troubleshoot common machine and sewing issues, and complete orders accurately and on schedule. Experience with heat-applied graphics, DTF transfers, patches and other apparel-decoration methods is also required. Primary Responsibilities Set up and operate a Ricoma six-head commercial embroidery machine Review work orders, approved artwork, garment details, thread colors and placement instructions Load embroidery files and confirm the correct design, size, color sequence and orientation Hoop garments accurately and consistently Select the correct backing, topping, needles and thread for each garment Perform test sew-outs and identify potential production issues before running an order Monitor thread tension, registration, trims, bobbins and overall stitch quality Troubleshoot thread breaks, needle breaks, looping, puckering, misregistration and other production issues Run multiple embroidery heads efficiently while maintaining consistent quality Embroider polos, hats, jackets, workwear, bags, uniforms and other apparel products Operate commercial heat presses for DTF transfers, heat-transfer vinyl and patches Set the correct time, temperature and pressure for different garments and transfer materials Maintain accurate placement and alignment across an entire production run Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy and consistency Track production quantities and ensure every order is complete Fold, count, package and label completed orders as needed Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on embroidery and heat-press equipment Maintain a clean, organized and safe production area Communicate immediately when artwork, garments or production instructions may create a quality issue Work independently and manage multiple production deadlines Required Qualifications Minimum three years of commercial embroidery production experience Demonstrated experience operating multi-head embroidery equipment Experience with Ricoma equipment strongly preferred Ability to set up and operate a six-head machine without continuous supervision Strong knowledge of hooping, stabilizers, thread tension, needles, bobbins and garment placement Experience producing embroidery on hats, polos, jackets, bags and other challenging garments Commercial heat-press experience, including DTF transfers, vinyl and patches Ability to recognize and correct production-quality issues Ability to read work orders and follow detailed production specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to work efficiently while meeting production deadlines Dependable attendance and professional communication Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes of garments and production materials Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Direct experience operating a Ricoma six-head embroidery machine Experience with cap frames and structured-hat embroidery Experience working with DST files and embroidery production software Ability to evaluate digitized files and identify issues before production Knowledge of DTF application, heat-transfer vinyl and silicone or embroidered patches Experience working in a commercial apparel, screen-printing or branded-merchandise shop What We're Looking For We are looking for a true production operator—not someone who requires basic embroidery training. You should be able to receive an approved production file and work order, set up the equipment, complete a test sew-out, troubleshoot problems and run the order accurately with minimal supervision. Quality is extremely important to us. The successful candidate will take ownership of each project, pay close attention to placement and consistency, and make sure the finished garments meet our standards before they leave production.

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
