This is a hands-on production position for someone who takes pride in producing quality work, maintaining an organized workspace, and helping the entire team succeed. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment Load and unload sheet metal and finished parts Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, job travelers, and work instructions Select and verify the correct material, thickness, program, and tooling Inspect finished parts using standard measuring equipment Identify drawing, material, program, and quality issues before they create scrap or delays Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventive maintenance Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean, safe, and organized Accurately record production time, quantities, scrap, and job information Work closely with programming, quality, material handling, and downstream operations Take ownership of quality, productivity, and on-time completion Required Qualifications At least two years of experience operating CNC laser-cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings Working knowledge of sheet-metal types, thicknesses, and handling requirements Ability to use basic inspection tools and verify part dimensions Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing excellent work Dependable attendance and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities Ability to work effectively as part of a team Commitment to safety, teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement Physical Requirements This is an active, physical manufacturing position. The operator must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and handle sheet-metal parts Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds Safely load, unload, separate, and move raw material and finished parts Work around industrial machinery, metal edges, noise, and changing shop temperatures Wear all required personal protective equipment Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities.
