Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a professional, skilled individual to join our team as a Core Machine Operator . To consistently meet our quality standards, the Core Machine Operator is responsible for producing cores and jackets of all sizes according to the daily production schedule. If you meet the qualifications listed below, please submit your resume for consideration. Position Responsibilities Stamp the correct date code on each core. Check and verify the length of the product within the first 10 pieces of a production run. Perform all required pre-shift and hourly quality checks. Change machine wire when necessary, ensuring the correct wire size is used according to company procedures. Tape the end of every core securely to cover the end of the wire. Create and apply accurate labels/tags displaying the correct piece count for each box of cores. Accurately complete machine logs and daily production reports. Manually compress a 25-foot piece of core to approximately 1 foot using both hands. Maintain daily housekeeping and basic maintenance of equipment and the immediate work area. Perform additional projects and duties as assigned to support ongoing business needs. Nature & Scope Works within well-defined instructions. Uses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasks. Work is closely supervised. Knowledge & Skills Strong basic math skills. Legible handwriting for documentation and reporting. Mechanical inclination is preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills to interface with supervisors. Ability to endure prolonged standing. Capability to consistently achieve a production target of 22,500 feet of core (or 900 pieces). Ability to apply good judgment, a strong work ethic, and integrity on the job. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Located in a manufacturing environment with active forklift traffic.
Required PPE:
Hearing protection, steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and gloves.
Physical Demands:
Job requires standing (up to 90%), walking (up to 10%), routine stooping, bending, reaching, twisting, and turning.
Lifting:
Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 40 lbs.
Dexterity:
Strong hand-eye coordination, handling tools/objects (holding, grasping), repetitive wrist motion (flexion/rotation), and repetitive foot movements (foot pedals).
Shift & Schedule Primary Shift:
3rd Shift (10:00PM - 6AM) 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday; candidates must be flexible and open to working weekends. Overtime (OT) is required as needed.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.50 - $18.90 per hour
