Job Title:
Batch Maker Job Description We are seeking a diligent and skilled Batch Maker to join our dynamic team. This role involves cross-training around a four-floor facility, handling raw materials, and manually lifting and moving heavy bags, buckets, and trays. The Batch Maker will also be responsible for reading and following batch records and order tickets, requiring basic math skills and the ability to measure raw materials accurately. Responsibilities Handle and transport raw materials, including lifting and moving 50+ lb bags and gallon buckets. Lift and bend to take materials off pallets and pour them into mixers. Read and follow batch records and order tickets, ensuring accurate measurement of raw materials. Perform packaging of paint products, loading and packaging buckets of paint. Conduct quality checks and inventory control. Operate mixing machines and batch mixers, ensuring proper blending and compounding. Potential training to operate a forklift. Essential Skills Quality check and production experience. Proficiency in mixing and machine operation. Experience with batch mixing and chemical processing. Ability to independently read and follow batch records. Basic math and measurement skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ years of manufacturing experience. Ability to lift 70 pounds. Capability to work in a paint mixing environment. Ability to stand throughout shifts. Effective teamwork skills. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a non-airconditioned four-story building with a strong paint smell.Each floor performs different tasks:
storage, measuring/prepping materials, mixing/batch making, and packaging. Hours are from 7am to 3:30pm. Phones are not allowed on the production floor, and employees should wear clothes suitable for a hands-on environment, with uniforms provided upon permanent employment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Kansas City, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
