We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed. As a Lead Technician, you will be the 1st line of defense for technical troubleshooting on the production floor. You will guide a small team of technicians to build high-quality, mission-critical components that power cutting-edge aerospace and defense systems. You will organize, support, and drive the team to meet the highest industry standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a hands-on, organized leader with a passion for building electrical hardware and continuously improving floor operations. What you'll own: Autonomously build electrical harness assemblies for aerospace and defense customers Responsible for keeping the floor on track - provide technical and operational direction to team members to ensure quality standards and schedule are met.
This may include:
Demonstrating proper techniques to new apprentice technicians Inspecting hardware in-process to ensure conformance to specifications Implementing daily task checklists to maintain the workcenter Assign and prioritize daily work per production schedule. Communicate work plan & work completed to team & operations stakeholders to minimize interruptions and ensure continuity. Work cross-functionally to ensure adequate support for nominal production operations Foster a culture of collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics to enhance manufacturability, streamline processes, and ensure seamless output to customers. What you'll bring to the team: High school diploma or equivalent certification and 3+ years as a technician in a fast-paced production environment. Proficient in reading complex wire harness schematics and determining proper order of operations & relevant techniques. Knowledge of soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, contact insertion and removal, harness routing and strain relief techniques is required. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, work order management, and BOM structures. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and present key performance data to leadership. Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a hands-on approach to solving complex manufacturing challenges. Adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum
Bonus Points:
2+ years of leadership experience, preferably within a manufacturing production environment. 1+ year of scheduling and task allocation experience. Familiarity with IPC-620 or
NASA STD 8739.4.
Has worked at a contract manufacturing company
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Hourly Range:
$25.50- $50.00 This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Redondo Beach, CA or Cypress, CA.
