This position focuses on core urethane operations including grooving, trimming, molding, sleeving, and related processes. It is expected to understand the process, execute work correctly, identify issues early, and ensure all production activity is accurately recorded in the system in real time. This role supports overall production flow and downstream operations by ensuring work is completed correctly, consistently, and ready for the next step without rework or correction. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic urethane production equipment, including grooving, trimming, molding, and related processes Perform urethane sleeving, gluing, sanding, trimming, and foam casting operations in accordance with job specifications Read and interpret work orders, job travelers, and production schedules to ensure work is completed accurately and in the correct sequence Select appropriate tooling, materials, and methods required for each job Monitor equipment performance, cycle times, and output; make basic adjustments to maintain safe and efficient operation Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure quality standards are met and issues are addressed immediately Identify and communicate machine issues, quality concerns, or material shortages in real time Maintain proper material flow and organization at the work center to support production efficiency and downstream operations Support inventory accuracy by following standard processes for material handling, staging, and job completion Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards Cross-train in other areas as needed and support team members to meet production goals Accurately record production counts, scrap, downtime, material movement, and other required production transactions in the Company's ERP system in accordance with established procedures Other duties as assigned Leadership & Accountability Take ownership of assigned work and outcomes, not just assigned tasks Follow standard work, safety rules, and quality expectations consistently; deviations must be communicated, not assumed Take responsibility for work quality, accurate reporting, and completing work correctly the first time Address issues early and communicate mistakes, concerns, or production problems promptly Support team success by completing work that is ready for the next operation and does not create rework for others Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, effort, and follow-through Be open to feedback, coaching, and continuous improvement Show initiative in learning new processes, improving performance, and taking on additional responsibility Maintain a professional and respectful work environment Customer Focus & Cross-Department Support Recognize that every department serves both internal and external customers and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time Complete work in a manner that supports uninterrupted production flow and prepares materials for the next operation Communicate production issues, material shortages, quality concerns, or equipment problems promptly to the Lead or Department Supervisor Qualifications & Skills Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Basic math skills with the ability to work with measurements and simple calculations Ability to read and use gauges, dials, and measuring tools Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining consistency in execution Strong work ethic with the ability to stay engaged and productive throughout the shift Ability to identify issues and communicate them clearly and in a timely manner Willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibility Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Experience & Education High school diploma or equivalent required Candidates must be comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment where accuracy, consistency, and real-time system transactions are required Experience with manufacturing processes, basic tooling, or material handling is preferred, but not required Work Environment Work may be performed in both office and manufacturing environments and may include exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures, dust, and odors. Depending on the role and business needs, employees may be required to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, handle materials, and use tools or equipment. Employees may occasionally lift, move, or position materials weighing up to 25 pounds independently. Heavier, bulky, or awkward items may require team lifting and/or the use of mechanical assistance such as carts, pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts when available and operated by trained and authorized personnel. Employees are expected to follow established company safety policies and procedures, use proper lifting techniques, and are required to request assistance when a task cannot be performed safely by one person.
