Flavor Insights is looking for a Flavorist Assistant to join our Flavor Creation Team. This is a hands-on position supporting Flavorists with the preparation, compounding, sampling, and organization of flavor formulations and raw materials. The role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with precise measurements, and interested in developing experience within the flavor and food manufacturing industry. What You'll Do

• Assist Flavorists with preparing and compounding flavor formulations, samples, and development batches.
• Review formulas and batch tickets to identify the correct raw materials and quantities.
• Accurately weigh, measure, pour, and add ingredients according to established formulas.
• Prepare mixing equipment, utensils, containers, and work areas.
• Document raw materials, quantities, lot numbers, and other required batch information.
• Prepare, label, organize, and maintain flavor samples.
• Maintain and restock raw materials used by the Flavor Creation Team.
• Keep laboratory, compounding, and raw-material areas clean and organized.
• Follow established SOPs, GMPs, food-safety, allergen-control, chemical-handling, respiratory-protection, and company safety procedures.
• What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in flavor compounding, food manufacturing, laboratory operations, batching, or a related environment is preferred but not required.
• Coursework or education in food science, chemistry, laboratory science, or a related field is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills and ability to work accurately with weights, measurements, and formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive precision work.
• Comfortable using computers and basic laboratory or mixing equipment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to work independently after training while following established procedures.
• Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.

Work Environment This is a hands-on position working primarily within a flavor development, laboratory, and manufacturing-support environment. The position requires standing for extended periods, repetitive weighing and measuring, handling containers and raw materials, and wearing required PPE. Employees may work around food ingredients, flavor chemicals, odors, and major food allergens. Key Qualities for Success We're looking for someone who brings accuracy, organization, dependability, good communication, safety awareness, and a willingness to learn. Prior flavor-industry experience is helpful, but we are also interested in candidates who have the right foundational skills and are motivated to learn flavor compounding and development processes.

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Ability to use stairs and ladders
• Some lifting required to carry product samples and documentation
• Comfortable working on elevated platforms and lift devices (3'-15')
